Director of Operations, Construction
James Hines brings over 30 years of experience managing complex development and construction operations across residential, multifamily, commercial, institutional, and industrial sectors. He has overseen projects exceeding $800 million in value, recognized for consistent delivery on schedule, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
As Director of Construction for Equity Construction Solutions, James leads cross-disciplinary teams overseeing field operations, site work, accounting, and project management. His leadership ensures alignment between ownership, design teams, and trade partners from preconstruction through closeout.
James’s prior experience includes executive and senior management roles with Triple Crown Corporation, A&E Construction, Structure Tone, and Toll Brothers. His background spans healthcare, higher education, senior living, and public infrastructure projects, with extensive experience in fast-track and occupied-facility construction.
He is proficient in Procore, Sage, Yardi, Smartsheet, and MS Project, leveraging these systems to enhance scheduling, cost control, and reporting efficiency. A strong advocate for safety and mentorship, James holds OSHA-30 certification and maintains deep knowledge of multi-state codes, permitting, and inspection protocols.
James is known for his strategic leadership, technical acumen, and ability to execute complex projects through clear communication, disciplined planning, and team accountability.
