Equity and the city of Shawnee Hills Break Ground on New Retail Development.

Shawnee Hills, OH January 27th, 2022 – Equity Commercial Real Estate broke ground today to mark the beginning of construction on the new 14,000 sq ft retail center.
It was designed to have ample outdoor dining areas including dining areas on both end caps as well as a central area with outdoor eating and gathering areas.
”The Village is excited to welcome Equity into our community and is looking forward to much needed changes within the Glick Road corridor. We are looking forward to new businesses and addition of outdoor space to create a vibrant area that will set the standard for future development in our community”.

Equity’s Sr. VP of retail sales & leasing, Aaron Heath announced that all five retail establishments within the development have already signed leases, including Boston Stoker Coffee, Dolce Vita Baby Boutique, Holy Moses Salon, The Butcher & Grocer, as well as one other high end restaurant.
This redevelopment is located on Glick road bringing a wonderful new focal point for the community in a high traffic area where historically there have been extremely limited retail opportunities. “We are very excited to be partnering with Equity on this project. Shawnee Hills has always had popular destinations for its residents and surrounding communities, but this redevelopment will serve as the new identity to the front door and Main St of the Village. I look forward to its completion and hope it’s something our residents can be proud of and they and surrounding communities are able to enjoy for years to come.” Says Shawnee Hills Mayor, Dan Mathews.
Equity’s president, Patrick Wathen, Equity’s director of development, Eric Newland, along with the mayor of Shawnee Hills, Dan Mathews, as well as the village administrator, Russell Baron, were all on hand to celebrate the groundbreaking.
