Press Release: Equity Grows, Opens Eighth Full-Service Commercial Real Estate Office in Atlanta

For Immediate Release

Columbus, OH – April 15, 2021 – Equity, a full-service national commercial real estate company, is excited to announce the opening of its eighth office in Atlanta, Georgia. The office opened April 15th, 2021.

Equity’s new Atlanta location joins a thriving fleet of seven other offices throughout the country: Columbus, OH (Equity’s headquarters), Cincinnati, OH, Dayton, OH, Tampa, FL, Orlando, FL, San Antonio, TX, and Austin, TX.

“Since our founding in 1987, we’ve always been growth oriented,” Austin Wathen, Managing Director of Brokerage at Equity, said. “We have opened offices strategically around the country when positive market trends and opportunity present themselves.”

Based on Atlanta’s market conditions, opening an Atlanta office made perfect logistical sense to Equity. In fact, according to a report from Atlanta Regional, Atlanta is one of the fastest growing MSAs on a national level. This report attributes the city’s growth to multiple factors including a low cost of living, a close proximity to major ports, and migration trends.

Equity’s expansion into the Atlanta market was made possible by a partnership created with TenantBase, a technology-enabled commercial real estate platform, earlier in 2021.

“The initial goal was to equip our Tampa agents with TenantBase’s platform to enhance our business development efforts,” Wathen said. “Through the partnership, the opportunity arose for us to transition TenantBase’s Atlanta team onto the Equity platform, which was a winning solution for both TenantBase and Equity.”

Equity’s service offering is truly unique, with a full-service platform that offers brokerage, property management, asset management, development, construction, and investment services.

“This is what really drew us towards Equity,” Todd Seaman, past TenantBase Market Lead, and Equity’s new Atlanta Market Director, said.

Seaman believes that by utilizing Equity’s platform, his team will be able to better service clients.

“Before Equity, if a client inquired about construction, I would have had to scramble to find them a contact,” Seaman explained. “Equity likes to touch on every part of the real estate life cycle, so now we’re able to service our clients in every aspect of their real estate needs.”
